Lucinda Presley integrates the arts, sciences, technology, engineering, math, and the humanities (STEAM) with creative and innovative thinking in K-12 and out-of-school learning settings.
She is Chair and Executive Director of the Washington, DC-based Innovation Collaborative, a coalition of national arts, STEM, humanities, and higher education institutions. Crayola is represented on the Collaborative’s Advisory Council. The Collaborative is conducting some of the first national multi- year studies to determine STEAM effective practices in K-12 and out-of-school learning settings.
With over 25 years’ experience in writing curriculum and developing STEAM programming for schools and museums, Ms. Presley has led STEAM education initiatives and teacher/artist training for a science museum, an art museum, and a national arts provider. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She has been an adjunct instructor of art at a large community college for over 19 years, where she was recently named Adjunct Instructor of the Year.
