Sue Snyder works closely with the Crayola Education team, developing creatED content and sharing it with educators. Sue engages professional learning participants in reflection exercises that draw upon their personal experiences and teaching priorities. She loves seeing how teachers’ creative energy radiates when they respond to creatED prompts. Sue draws upon teachers’ ideas as springboards to creative teaching solutions and helps them apply the creative process to deepen student learning.
Throughout her career, Sue has been an education thought leader bringing innovative pedagogy and practical insights to schools. Sue worked as a certified music, movement, and integrated arts teacher. She developed arts-integrated curriculum designs for aeIDEAS, LLC. She was Curriculum Coordinator for a five-year US Department of Education Ready-to-Learn Media grant, and spearheaded a State of Connecticut eight-year research project centered in urban Connecticut, with outreach satellite programs in Alaska, California, Texas, Michigan, Indiana, and New Jersey.
Sue has served as senior author for educational publishers and consulted extensively. She was recognized for her innovative practices at the first WISE Symposium, hosted by the Qatar Foundation. She is passionate about making the arts part of every child’s every day learning experiences. She partners with educators to bring the art of exceptional teaching to schools across the nation.
