Recent Conference Collaborations

Recently, I was lucky to join some colorful and creative educators at regional education conferences to collaborate around family engagement and STEAM programs.

At the MASC/MASS Conference in Hyannis we found a beautiful venue and honestly, who doesn't love to be on the Cape regardless of the wind and weather?  We had the opportunity to meet and talk with a lot of truly dedicated school board members as well as superintendents and upper administration to share the benefits of our Family Engagement kits, Design a Game Kits, and our Professional Development programs.

The New York State PTA Convention in Tarrytown, NY hosted a lot of excitement and buzz in the air about Family Engagement solutions, especially the Create-To-Learn Family Engagement Kits and STEAM Design-a-Game Kits.

As funding is always a struggle, NYS PTA officers reminded chapter and regional leaders that they can apply for the Bayer Family Science Festival Grant and use the funds to purchase Crayola Design a Game STEAM kits as well as Family Engagement kits!

What were your favorite conferences this year, that you attended or followed along with on social? What new ideas or products do you plan to integrate into your classroom in 2020, and how do you plan to pay for the supplies (out-of-pocket, a regional or corporate grant, state or federal funding)?

As educators strive to prepare students to be successful today and in the future, I'd love to have a discussion around some of the things you see that are working, things you want to try, and how you manage to do (and fund!) it all!

    Happy Thanksgiving Educators!
