Happy Thursday everyone!
As we are ramping up for back-to-school, I wanted to highlight a lesson plan that focuses on kindergarteners on their very first day! Our lesson plan “Start Writing My Name” is a great way to get your students excited about writing their names. Your students will mold the letters of their names out of Crayola Model Magic and decorate each letter. It is a great way for everyone to get to know each others’ names at the beginning of the year!
You could also send this activity in a welcome letter before school starts to introduce yourself and get students excited about their first day! The activity is a great way for parents to engage with students and help them begin practicing their letters.
Do you have a creative way to get to know your students’ names, or a fun activity you like to do on the first day of school? Share in the comments below!
