National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th! How do you plan to honor Hispanic Heritage in your classroom or school this year?
Don’t have a plan yet? Check out the National Education Association for a great list of resources that you can incorporate into your classrooms to celebrate Hispanic heritage. This helpful resource includes lesson plans, activities, printables and so much more that can all be used to teach your students about Hispanic culture.
One of our personal favorite resources shared by NEA are these coloring pages dedicated to notable Hispanic-Americans throughout history. Having students research these historical figures, then color the posters and hang them around your school or classroom, is a great way to honor their accomplishments and spark a discussion around future careers.
Respond to this discussion post if you have used any of these lessons in the past, or what new ideas you plan to incorporate into your classrooms for Hispanic Heritage Month!
