    Happy Friday everyone!

For this week's #FundingFriday, we are highlighting the funding opportunities that exist for art as part of a well-rounded education through the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)!

This resource from the Education Commission and the Arts Education Partnership is broken up into two main sections:

    1. A breakdown of the opportunities for the arts within ESSA that exist on a state, district and school level.
    2. A question and answer section for some of the most commonly asked questions around ESSA, like if state accountability systems can include the arts, what the timeline looks like for implementation and distribution of funds, and who to contact if you have questions about specific federal programs!

Do you know what your state's ESSA plan is? How is your state, district, and/or school planning to include arts-based and arts-integrated programs and/or professional development to support a well-rounded education?

Let us know in the comments below!

James Daugherty from North Carolina is making all Arts Educators aware of how to use Title IV funding. He has presented at the NC Arts Coordinator's meeting for the past year on how we can harness parent involvement funds, engage families in the arts, and build stronger ties with our communities!
